CANYONEERINGSEPTEMBER 4-7, 2018
Moab, UT Front Range Climbing Club Students should arrive at RSS 7:00 AM - 9/4 Pick up student at RSS 7:30 PM - 9/7 This voyage is high adventure, a challenge for those with fear of heights. Canyoneering is simply the second half of rock climbing: the rappel. Each day, we’ll be hiking for several miles to red rock canyons with a series of descending cliffs that we’ll rappel over using harnesses, helmets, and rope. Often, these hikes include wading or swimming through small pools of water to reach the destination. These are Nature’s rugged and wild places that are rarely visited by people, and they are spectacular to experience. To do our part to give back to the larger community, RSS is proud to be partnering with Grand County for this voyage, and we’ll spend a half day working to remove invasive weeds from the banks of the Colorado River in Moab.
